Besides having the usual subs, they also frequently had explanations for various terms used in the anime, such as what Echire butter is, on the top of the screen in a semi-transparent box.
I've not seen any with personal comments yet, but I find subtitles with poor punctuation and grammar skills annoying cos they take more time to digest.
