In this world, there exists people with special abilities to manipulate objects and transform one object into another. These people are known as alchemists. This process does come with a cost though, the basic law of alchemy states that to gain something you have to sacrifice something of the same value.
The main character is the famous alchemist Edward Elric - also known as the Fullmetal Alchemist - who almost lost his little brother, Alphonse, in an accident. Edward managed to contain his brother's soul in a large suit of armor. While he did manage to save his brother's life, he had to pay a great price himself.
To get back what they've lost, the brothers embark on a journey to find the Philosophers Stone that is said to amplify the powers of an alchemist enormously. -

Finally someone has create for fma. Its a super beautiful story with a nice ending. Unlike naruto, it has a proper ending altot I wish they can continue. The story of botherhood touches me to the heart.

the brothers finally got reunited but went to another world without alchemy. and they gotta track down the person who brought the atomic bomb with him from their world. -
the anime doesn't follow the manga exactly in order. the manga is still going on despite the anime have already ended.

This is truly a story driven anime, especially towards the end.
I still remember when I first watched it, I only watched one episode. And that's because people are saying how good it was. Somehow, the first episode didn't really grab my attention.
Anyway, months later, I tried to watch it again, slowly I was drawn into the story.
Verdict: 5/5 -
Episode 37 got to be my favourite episode so far.

where the brother actually DIED!!! I was going "Oh my god!"
It's not surprising that he died, since he was "weak" compared to other stronger characters, and got kicked around a lot.
But he got stabbed and died!!! (Almost that is) -

The story a bit strange at the point it break off with the manga.
