Very nice pictures! Just a few minor suggestions that might be helpful:
1. Try to use natural and/or ambient light to illuminate the subject. Using the camera's flash tends to create harsh shadows. I normally set up the subject and background next to a window, and use glossy white paper and aluminium foil encased in transparent DVD cases to bounce the light onto the shadowed areas of the figurine.
2. A decent tripod really helps to eliminate camera shake, especially when the particular lighting conditions call for longer exposure times. Use the camera's delayed shutter release timer to take the picture, as this eliminates camera shake when pressing the shutter release button.
3. For extreme close-ups, try experimenting with your camera's macro function.

anyway as for your photography skills, i think it's decent enough.
i'm also learning on photographing figurines. maybe the thing we can work on is to eliminate the shadows. but u least u did the right thing by choosing to photograph it against a simple background.
a mistake which i made previously was photograph figurines against "colourful" background, like my bookshelves. doing so will make the viewer lose focus and bring their attention away from the figurine. -

Here's my latest figurine acquisition: the swimsuit version of Saber from Fate/hollow ataraxia, by Alter.
The figure is very well sculpted, but its execution leaves a lot to be desired. If you look closely, you can see glue marks on various parts of the figurine (particularly the belly), and there are lots of pits and voids in the casting. There is also a very visible mould separation line down both the arms.
Definitely not one of Alter's better efforts... -

wow Meia u finally bought swimsuit saber.
the glue marks u mentioned are most probably due to the heat which cause the PVC to melt.
and yes the mould separation line on the arms is indeed an eyesore.
1 more complain is that they painted the toe nails and finger nails pink (or whatever color that is). the coloring on mine is very uneven and looks terrible. they should have leave it unpainted.
and btw, is that a real bullet? -

The glue smudges actually look more like the result of careless application and/or handling during the manufacturing process. Have you ever built a plastic model kit and accidentally picked it up while you had glue on your fingers? It looks like that's what happened.
Hmm... I just looked at the finger and toe nails on my Saber figurine, and it looks properly painted, so no complaints there. Just the bloody glue smudges elsewhere!
Yup, the last image shows Saber holding a real 50BMG cartridge. -
