  While on board a train to Tokyo to meet up with her boyfriend Shouji after so long, 20 year old Nana Komatsu (A.K.A. Hachi) happened to sit beside 20 year old Nana Osaki, who was traveling to Tokyo to fulfill her dreams of becoming a musician. The vocalist for her punk band "Blast", NanaÂ’s goal is the debut for "Blast" in Tokyo where her ex-boyfriend, Ren, is the guitarist for the popular band "Trapnest". Sharing the same name and age, both girls quickly form a bond of friendship. In addition, fate seems to play a part, as they both end up looking for the same apartment at the same time, and soon move in together.   The movie is mainly showing on the relationship of Nana and Ren, which is only ending at the book 5 of the manga series...
  
  this manga has evolved into PS2 game and there is a anime series on it which i have not seen yet...

  NANA animation is one of the few anime which have very selective choice songs in the series.
  
  Particularly, emo/punk rock. And i love j-punk rock's music arrangement.
  
  Very very good songs in fact.
  Check out on Olivia Lufkin, two themes sung by her(thumbs up), she's still not in Babes forums though.
  Weird.
  
  NANA the drama also have good songs.
  
  Gimme more punk rock...japanese ones please.

  One thing i'll complain - it's too short.
  Those who didn't notice, Shin is the same guy in Death Note casted as 'L'.
