  The only new circuit on the 2009 calendar, and the first race to start in daylight and end at night under floodlights (although the first such session was Free Practice in Singapore). The track will run anti-clockwise on a man-made island resort. The Ferrari World theme park, yacht marina and hotel are all visible from the track. It features a pitlane that runs under the circuit. Like its neighbour in Bahrain, it will be very dusty off the racing line and require high amounts of downforce.
