I wasn't a huge fan of the F40 - I understand that saving weight was a huge design factor but the overall product looked too much like it was made of plastic, especially the engine cover. Now the 288, on the other hand - that's classic Pininfarina.
Aside from the Maserati Birdcage concept, I wasn't a fan of Ken Okuyama's work at Pininfarina...and that includes the Enzo.

Thats why the 288 is the last good looking great ferrari, while the F40's description has the "good looking" bit left out

The enzo's butt ugly. It's targeted at the blind and the stupid in general. Anyone who loves cars enough to get an enzo... will get the Maser MC12 instead
And if you really want something that looks as ugly as the enzo, the latest Arash would do the trick. It looks better than the enzo at least. An Enzo lookalike... with a Lamborghini look-alike badge
