Venue: Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Monza
Laps: 54
Race start: 2000 HRS SIN
The temple of speed and the home of the Tifosi (Ferrari fans) is the final European round of this seasons championship. It boasts the highest average speeds, and the atmosphere is simply stunning. Every team brings a special low-drag package to this track, where downforce levels are run at the absolute minimum. Thus, the cars are always twitchy and on the edge, but it is a trade-off for top speed, which can reach 360 km/h.
As expected, power is also a key factor to getting around quickly, engines are heavily stressed, and those drivers who have to run the same engines as they did at Spa will be disadvantaged. A car that is able to ride the chicane kerbs very well is also a very big plus. A one-pit stop strategy is possible, but the top 10 in qualifying will probably go for 2.
Hamilton leads Massa by 2 points after he was demoted after the Belgian Grand Prix, and he will be determined to fight back and improve on his 2nd place from last year. Raikkonen will not make it easy for either driver even though he is 19 points adrift. Look out for surprises from Toro Rosso, Toyota and BMW.
Heard rumours that Hamilton's gay, is it true?
He wouldn't be dating women if he were.
FP1 was a wet session that only got wetter still...hence the unusual look to the results:

Wrong race, wrong thread.
And Hamster and Sutil were in an unfortunate position in that old photo.

Hamster really deserves an investigation this time for the 3 dangerous moves he made on Glock, Alonso and Webber in wet conditions. They recall a certain Schumacher's chops, which weren't popular either. I wonder if he is testing the reaction after the furore at Spa... anyone who's just tuned in to F1 won't have a good impression of him.
I say that the beautiful driving was done by the top 3, especially Vettel and Kubica - great tyre management from the latter!
