  btw, McLaren fixed their problems off-season.. they have a knack of doing that if you have been following F1.. remember the season where they had a severely underpowered Cosworth engine? with the genius of Senna, they stil managed to pull off a few wins

  Oh, the FIA promised de la Rosa, Alonso and Hamilton immunity in exhange for their sworn statements.
  
  Does anyone else realise how silly those 2 Spaniards look by getting into trouble over e-mail? At least James Hunt, Keke Rosberg and even Kimi did it glamorously with lots of women and alcohol.
  
  Anyway, the information that was apparently obtained has limited use. Aerodynamic solutions will still need to be adapted for their own chassis, but the telemetry gives an insight into the tyre and pit strategies that might be used.
  
  McLaren's cars rode the kerbs better than Ferrari's in Monaco, Montréal and Monza, so we can be certain that it isn't something that was ripped off.

  Basically, the new evidence shows that de la Rosa repeatedly requested for data from Coughlan, having known that it came from Stepney. He shared some of it with Alonso.
  
  Coughlan's superior Jonathan Neale was also tardy in his handling of the former when he discovered his actions (by telling him to destroy the information).
  
  Ron Dennis has claimed that he supplied the evidence to the FIA after he discovered those e-mails after the Hungarian GP.

  Old news but the case is closed for now with McLaren deciding not to appeal against the punishment.
  
  However, look out for the book that Nigel Stepney is writing about the saga, he hints that Ferrari aren't innocent in this affair.
