I reckon Dennis should sell off his stake to DaimlerChrysler and retire comfortably.Originally posted by thecross:Ralf, not in his lifetime if he is still stuck with his present team. But I am abit sad that kimi went over to ferrari. I am a big fan of mclaren. 98 99 were the best years to watch them. dont know what to do with my genuine autographed kimi photo, maybe bid on ebay. Anyway, I think ron dennis should retire, not shumi, with ron's bad judgement and strategy, he can pack his bags....but he still owns a portion of mclaren.
I share your view, Ron should retireOriginally posted by thecross:Ralf, not in his lifetime if he is still stuck with his present team. But I am abit sad that kimi went over to ferrari. I take it you haven't seen any seasons between 1988 and 1992? Those would make 1998 and 1999 look completely off-form.Originally posted by thecross:98 99 were the best years to watch them.
I agree that PDLR is not the guy to make the most use of his Mac. On the other hand, I would not necessarily say that Kubica's the man - Rosberg's also got a good head on his shoulders and would be the guy I'd pick as future champ.Originally posted by thecross:hey, nice to know there are supporters, so who do you think will be alonso's team mate next year? I hope they sign Kubica, he is a protege, future champ....that is if ron dennis is not too proud to approach him. I think de larosa hasnt got the instinct.
Ralf Schumacher? He shares the same family name but not the driving skills of MichaelOriginally posted by iveco:Please take your personal disputes elsewhere.
Hmm, Schumi is retiring at last? Time for Ralfie to prove his worth.
F1 is definitely more exciting when MS is around. If MS is a Scum, then there are plenty of legendary scums in the sporting world isnt it?Originally posted by Gedanken:I take it you haven't seen any seasons between 1988 and 1992? Those would make 1998 and 1999 look completely off-form.
Should Dennis retire? Maybe. I've seen years when he was right on top of things and had the team running like a Swiss watch, and back then nobody could touch him. These days, he seems to have slipped. If the trend continues, then yes, I think he should let someone else run the show.
Should he retire instead of Scum? Definitely not. We're better off without Scum cheating than without Dennis' complaining.
F1 will always be more interesting if you have more WDC around because they will set the benchmark for all other drivers. Without MS next year, and Alonso jumping into a ??? MP4-22, how interest will it get?Originally posted by Gedanken:Hmm - exciting is certainly not the word I'd use for it. My idea of exciting is Villeneuve/Arnoux at Dijon 1979.
Playing bumper cars is one thing, and certainly other drivers can be accused of that. On the other hand, specifically structuring team orders and parking a car across the track to halt a qualifying session are a whole different kettle of fish. Nobody's ever been that scummy.
Well, I'd partly agree. If there are a couple of real WDCs around, things can get lively. On the other hand, if you've got a so-called champ who depends on his contratually bound #2 as a tail gunner, things get boring pretty quick.Originally posted by Gazelle:F1 will always be more interesting if you have more WDC around because they will set the benchmark for all other drivers. Lets hope Ferrari and Kimi dont dominate next year, or else its going to be boring as far as fighting for championship is concerned.
