Huh wat u mean?Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Significantly, this is the last Grand Prix where tobacco sponsorship is used for the full weekend.
FIA plans to put an end to tobacco sponsorship in the near future. If I'm not wrong, the earliest is next season.Originally posted by SBS9828X:Huh wat u mean?
Hmm true... but do they still sponsor the teams?Originally posted by iveco:FIA plans to put an end to tobacco sponsorship in the near future. If I'm not wrong, the earliest is next season.
By the way, some EU countries have banned the use of tobacco companies' logos on the car bodies. Look closely and you will see what I mean. AFAIK, Ferrari and BAR have blanked out the brand names of cigarettes on their car bodies and drivers' overalls, while McLaren replaced the "Wests" with their drivers' first names.
Erm, that's the old Hockenheim where the cars ran with minimal downforce...the long straights and Öst kurve were ripped up after the 2001 Grand Prix and reforested.Originally posted by SBS9828X:Hell of a high-speed track sia. Look at the straight
The 4 teams with tobacco sponsorship (BAR-Honda, Renault, Ferrari and McLaren) will not be displaying the logos of West, Marlboro, Lucky Strike and Mild Seven at least on race day in Hungary. That's when the EU-wide ban kicks in.Originally posted by SBS9828X:Huh wat u mean?
What about Jordan? Is B&H still bankrolling them? I vaguely remember the Jordan cars having "Be__on__edge_" on the side.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:The 4 teams with tobacco sponsorship (BAR-Honda, Renault, Ferrari and McLaren) will not be displaying the logos of West, Marlboro, Lucky Strike and Mild Seven at least on race day in Hungary. Macca will be using Johnny Walker stickers starting with the Turkish GP.

Well, somewhere along the way, they seem to have forgotten the old rule of thumb: "To finish first, first you have to finish".Originally posted by Kuali Baba:McLaren are throwing away both championships when they have the fastest car!
