Some ppl like to collect recipes and look at pictures.. but they can't cook..
some don't have a sigle recipes but cook very well -
i don't cook according to recipes. i go to the kitchen, see what i have, and think of something to make from them.

I like baking more often but due to some "circumstances", I am unable to bake often enough.
Only this new yr manage to try a new recipe (tao sar covered tarts) and thank goodness the thing I baked turn out well.
Wanted to present to in-laws and parents something different rather than the ones that you can buy from shops. -
Being of baba heritage...cooking is natural i guess..

I guess sometimes cooking or baking comes naturally for some. While some pple just don't like the "messiness" but enjoy the eating.
E.g. Like my husband who loves to eat but cannot be bothered to do anything! -

Although I can bake but I can't bake good cakes ... maybe shortbreads and some simple cookies but its not that fantastic...
I like normal home cooking. I am hokkien and so its the usual traditional fair. But sometimes., I do a little of the spagehetti and home made tomato sauce or other claypot stews.
I find cooking is an art. And I had to have a peace of mind before I will cook otherwise, if I am impatient, everything will be ruined -
