Strawberry jam

500g hulled and chopped strawberry
1 2/3 cups sugar
2 tbs lemon juice
2 tsp sure-jell/pectin
You will need to heat the strawberry and lemon juice first and add the pectin and sugar. Stir the mixture until it bubbles when stirring, pour into a sterilized containers and keep them in the fridge. Because I am using the bread machine, I simply throw in all the ingredients.
Don use sugar substitute and make sure you don increase or decrease the sugar and pectin.
You can purchase the sure-jell from coldstorage. It is actually a fruit pectin used to set the jam or jelly. The recipe I am using is from the book that comes with the machine. You can go to www.sure-jell.com for more jam/jelly recipes.
