I want a talisman that will bring me extreme bad luck or death as a bonus. Have or not? I do not mind having dead spirits following me.
Not kidding you, i was hunting for bad luck charms and ghosts since primary school. Cannot find. Believe it or not, about 15 years ago I went bukit brown cementery after 9pm on a full moon (otherwise too dark lah) and ALONE to search for evil spirits. Chuay boh... That was an interesting post. When I was in secondary school, I find the concept of heaven, hell, god, devil to be like a scam. I did witchcraft, sold my 'soul' to whatever, trampled on qing ming ashes and offerings for the dead (my sincere apologies - it happened decades ago). Back then as an little kid, I wanted to annoy ghosts and see what harm 'spirits' can do to me.
I dont do this anymore out of respect for the living people around me. My philosophy never changed though - because to me dead people got no soul and are not humans anymore.
I have always considered natural or unnatural death to be a bonus. I do not believe in suicide - its for cowards. I can be murdered or knocked dead by bus. No problem. I do not see it as bad luck.
Now as a lau uncle, I think I must look rather foolish to become a ghostbuster. Hey we all need to earn a living. Those days are over for me. Maybe when I get to retire, I will follow up on this. But my children will surely stop me. Most people are inclined to believe in afterlife - even my children.
I always told them there is no such thing as ghosts - dont worry about walking in the dark, but they are not so sure.
So that is why the job of midnight gravedigging is reserved for a select few, with my natural disposition.
Religion and afterlife are the biggest scam that mankind ever came up with. It is also the only scam backed by laws and guns. Huat lah....
Goes to show how easy it is to make money out of people's fears - fear of darkness, fear of death, fear of unknown, fear of retribution, fear of bad karma, fear of pok kai.
Same thing goes to making big bucks from people who are greedy, impulsive or superstitious. They are so many of such people. So how come people still complain singapore so hard to earn a living?
Stay at homee
true true, better stay at home next month
As to those who believe there are no ghosts, you are entitled to your belief. But I relate a true story.
A group of teachers and students went on a trip to Taiwan. Some of them went to the lobby and saw a certain teacher sitting there and started talking to her. Then they went up to their room and saw this teacher coming out of her room. They asked her how come so fast she can go up, go to her room, and then come out again? She said all the while she was in her room
Well I would like to believe in ghosts. Supernatural stuff have aways caught my attention. However I have never witnessed one myself.
I wished there were tour guides who can either bring me to see ghosts, or allow me to communicate with a 2000 year old Han dynasty perfectly preserved body of Xin Zhui in Hunan China.
