There are more than 28000 taxis in Singapore. All of them have to pay rent for 7 days. So everyday sure got taxi drivers take break as not all hirers could find relief driver for all 7 days. So if all drivers take 1 day off per week, then at any day there would be 4000 drivers off.
So this many taxis statistics is only a small fraction of the 4000 drivers that would be "off" at any day. So nothing that alarming as taxi drivers are also human and would also gamble like other Singaporeans.
The rule is all above 21 years old Singaporeans could gamble freely except those under restrictions, civil servants and licensed casino employees.

There are many gamblers driving taxis, and as we all know, gambling is an addiction, just a matter how big it the urge only, to any gambler addict, it is not a matter of can win or not, it is more of a matter of can play, can beo, can hold the card, can get the excitement, and most importantly, can song song. Once they are in the realm of playing, the outside world is no more in their mind..his family, his taxis, his financial, his friends, his ...this and that will all become secondary once a gambling addict is on the casino table. Addiction enhance craving, you want more and more of it, like I addict to bak bak,..

Aiya, we TDs also have to help RWS staff mah, if we dun go in...more will get retrenched..you never heard news saying 400 retrenched...their times are bad, and I heard, now you go in and gamble, most likely can win, jackpot also can kenna,,.,..because now they let go abit, cos they want to attract gambler mah. They are retrenching because they probably hired too many people and paid their top management too much. Not too long ago, they paid their CEO $30 million a year. This amount was the total pay of the CEOs of DBS, UOB and OCBC combined although RWS's profit was much lower than any of the 3 major banks. From then onwards, their stocks have been going downhill (probably due to lower profits). Luckilly I did not buy their shares then otherwise I would probably be super-banged.
I always asked gamblers that I fetched which casino in Singapore they prefer. 90% said MBS; 10% said they prefer RWS because it is more quiet and MBS is too packed with people. They also said most of the gamblers at RWS are Malaysians.
Brother Bowah, who told you now a days most likely can win at RWS?

Knn, RWS CEO also Genting Boss's relative mah, paid or not, also damn rich liao. Their model of running RWS (Malaysia style) cannot match MBS which is much global, and frankly, without Universal studio...what is RWS now? you Q 1 hrs also no pax
