i'm a right-lane driver.. i don't drive in the middle lane because i then have to look out for both sides of the car.. if i'm on the right lane, i just look out for people on the left side... and also, i drive fast
thing is, the right lane is for vehicles overtaking and also driving fast... which i do..
some people, like a effing clueless taxi-driver yesterday, drove at 70km/h to 80km/h (sometimes dipping to around 60km/h) from before Kallang all the way past Bedok (almost reaching the Simei exit) on the right lane, the middle lane was pretty packed too but the asshole was driving exactly the same speed or slightly slower than the middle lane... this caused a huge line of people in the right lane to be held up and it was empty road as far as the eye could see in front of him...
no one could pass him... the car behind him tailgating him, i think he probably flashed his headlights, and horned a lot of times at the taxi but the asshole refused to change lanes
i think a lot of drivers in Singapore are oblivious to what's around them, or simply don't care, or are just assholes trying to make things difficult for others around them
oh
Hearing from the grown up kids next doors...
Some chaps went to hear the SAF career talk... Macham now they trying to tie ppl..
That simi Military Expert scheme allows ppl to work to 60 but w/o combat allowance... kns.
But he say, the way the SAF trying to jio, use simi high 1st class hon pay to attract ppl, say got simi tpt allowance for cars..
I hear le it's like kns... SAF has a lot of regimentation compared to other job, you dun like the regimentation, you're just going to have a miserable life...
Also kns, it's not gabrament's policy to encourage car ownership, and SAF has a vehicle call GP car...

To me... You drive to 90km/hr, I can still accept it.. speed limit after all.
But always ppl hog, and reach speed camera can brake to 50km/hr... Scared of tio summon like tat...
Seriously ppl here lack lane discipline... I would usually keep to middle lane once there's nothing in front.

Even so the WP leadership has to sack him. Don't be like the PAP.

And he is not the only one.
Suddenly I remember that asshole George yeo telling Singaporeans to rally behind jack neo after he was exposed as a sexual predator.
WP can spin this into something really positive...
showing that they did their own investigation, and when the position of the person in question becomes untenable, they are willing to throw him out and risk losing the constituency for the public good and for the sake of having a clean party...
and they can subtly spin "unlike some others, it was not an honest mistake and there are consequences to such actions" into it

and people think of GY as some kind of nice guy...
if he was such a nice guy, he'd not be in the MIW

Yeah. They can show what is meant by accountability to the citizens.

i think he did.. but then, halfway only.. he resigned from the exec committee or something..
WP threw his ass out
I dunno...
But to me, yawningbread is more for reading than to take it
Seriously...
To me, the media on either online or conventional are equally cynical for me.. tat said, it's true tat a good chunk of online media news has served it's social purpose
Word has it that Tan Jee Say is thinking of standing for the Hougang by-election.
I still have nothing but contempt for both him and Tan Kin Lian. However you look at it, they indirectly helped Tony to win presidency by diverting votes away from Tan Cheng Bock.
Freakin' hell.... splitting the opposition vote plays straight into the hands of the ruling party!
Good morning folks
