I suspect we'd find out more as the investigation unfolds .....
I was telling my mother this morning, it's only a matter of time since those mega churches come under scrutiny, but they can't move in on them first ..... so they got to squeeze that hapless ren ci monk's nuts first ......
if the gov is not careful, there'll be political fallout for sure ....

always wonder, ... why the pastor wife's chinese album sales hit rocket high, even most of us dun even listen to her songs...

and the younglings are the most militant ones ....
though I've always suspected many of the kids go there just to hook up, or for the camadrie and group companionship alone ....

it'd be awesome if the church founders end up in jail over this. but somehow I suspect because they have powerful friends, they'll end up with a slap on the wrist, like that fucker durai.

I totally have to agree...My group usually hang out ard Grand Link (Mech Master Billiard) after sunday service back in the time when the church is still in it's paya lebar premise beside Lion City Hotel...
However, I didn't follow them when they moved to the west... After they got their fanbase too huge from the east and west, they went to expo...
Cannot understimate their networking and presuading abilities... One would almost link them to those typical MLMs >____>

It might get complicated if they went to jail... Imagine church members uprising... And whatever the govt do, ppl would find ways to blame the govt one way or another...there will really be a political fallout >__>

Well, it's not for me to tell others how to spend their money....
But freak, while I can understand their need for a large church building, surely titanium cladding doesn't add on to the worship, no?
Ah well. Apparently their own financial statements say that they've spent $8 million over the past two years on stuff like audio systems, lighting, and multimedia ventures.
8 million on lights, sound, and music. Go figure.

her salary is about $1800, after take home about $1450 bah..
she gave 1/3hr of it to her church left $1000.00
she bought endowement insurance (like secure her saving / life when she gets older) ie $300 per month
left $700
internet, phone, new lappy installment : $400
left $300
daily transport/food : $250
she told her poor work-till-death old mom : i have no money for u...sorry..
and she always try to scam lunch from us..!
