it has been seen that they do not give a shit about "their own people"... especially their "leaders" who see their own people as a way to further their own agenda.. whatever it is...
for the late asshole Arafat, he kept his people in horrible conditions so that he could squeeze them for money... he was the most corrupt bastard around...
now Hamas.. they don't care and between them and Fatah, they are more interested in killing each other than helping their people...
in this dispute, all sides do not have any right to moral high ground
The Arabs are playing their cards right this time.
No matter what, the Israelis lose.

The distance fare is a joke.
Look at Sv 155. From 0 net fare stage increment inside Macpherson Estate, LTA/ PTC now tells u is 3.2km..
Even 154 kena, cos of tat 1 round across Macpherson Rd to PIE (Jurong). 0.8km.
Phew..... went for my first run in a long time.....
Could only manage 2.7 clicks..... my lungs just didn't have the capacity with all that phlegm....

You are running the same kind of risk as them. One of my schoolmates died years ago as a result of the flu virus attacking his heart.
actually for myself I stop running if I've cough or flu.
The most is take a long distance walk.

and someone I know who went diving with the flu ended up with a blood clot in his lung requiring surgery and he was out of action for 6 months.

Of course.... running a full marathon just 24 hours after my fever broke down is outright suicide....
I ran last year's Sundown in perfect health, and my body still sorta 'fell apart' in the following days with tonsillitis and severe muscle cramps.....
Oh well. There's still AHM in September, and StanChart to look forward to in December. And I'll be running with Team NUS for that marathon.

human beings just aren't built for running marathons.

I don't know.
I signed up for the team just for the heck of it.
The free running singlet doesn't hurt, either.
