Mr Antoine Zacharias (picture) is facing criminal charges despite the £90 million ($188 million) pay and pension deal being approved by his company's directors.
He is accused of misusing funds by accepting the money to run Vinci, the world's biggest construction company.
Mr Zacharias, 71, is the first French industry captain to face criminal charges over earnings and faces up to five years in prison and a fine of £336,000.
French bosses are anxiously awaiting the outcome of the two-day trial, as a guilty verdict could lead to a wave of prosecutions in France over executive pay.
Under French law, company bosses can be prosecuted for misusing funds.
However, this is the first time a case has been brought against someone who appeared to have acted within company rules on pay.
Hailed as France's boss of the decade by the Harvard Business Review, Mr Zacharias transformed Vinci into a construction powerhouse, raising profits by more than 300 per cent and turnover by 81 per cent in six years.
The court heard on Wednesday that Mr Zacharias saw his earnings rose from £2.6 million in 2003 to £4 million in 2005 - catapulting him into pole position in France's rankings of top-paid executives.
He received a golden parachute of £11.5 million when he retired in 2006 and a pension of £1.9 million per year.
Prosecutors contended that Mr Zacharias had ousted the three sitting members of Vinci's remuneration committee after it refused to change the rules on his pay.
The three were replaced, and four months later, they approved his request for his salary to be pegged to the company's results - a first for a top listed French group - leading to the huge pay increase.
Mr Philip Houillon, a right-wing parliamentarian from President Nicolas Sarkozy's UMP group who compiled a report on executive pay, said: "Does a given remuneration to a given boss correspond to the general interests of the company?
"That's the point of the Zacharias trial.
"If bosses can't regulate their own pay and laws can't either, then sooner or later the courts will." -

UHT milk ends up work out almost e same price leh. Need to use 250ml packets instead of 1L simply cannot keep open for too long either.
maybe cheaper by a bit.

teach the kid to drink from a straw, u go out, no need to carry all the rubbish
just buy a packet from the shop and feed the kid till he's happy
not bloody buy a 1L and keep at home

There are many varients of Zip in Mustafa also

1) Multi purpose cleaner (mainly for floor)
2) Toilet cleaning gel
3) Cream cleanser (cheaper rival against Cif)
4) Powder cleanser (macham like Vim which has ceased production)
5) Dishwashing liq (Think got Lime, Lemon, Bontanical, Gentle formula).

someone went to kp tat it's from India these days.I replied at tat soap/ shower foam thread tat hardly any from UK comes these days.
