  thing is, seems like every other ah ter ah gau's wanting to major in finance .... they all can't be high flying bankers right ? ....

  sides, of the four real bankers I know, one's an engineering major, the other's a mathematics major, a physics major, and the last one studied computer science .... none of them actually studied finance .....

  I think as a marketing chap, you'd work more humane hours, and of course ... you'd get to attend all sort of cool launch parties, etc etc ....

  when u major in finance, it doesn't mean that the only industry you can go into is banking lor..

  well, the latter bit certainly rings true ....

  when I was still working in pluto, one incident at the orpid stayed in my mind .... I had just camped overnight in the orpid to squeeze out a deadline, I was groggy, tired, cold, and wondering what the hell was I doing there ..... so I trotted downstairs to replenish my kopi cup ......

  passing by the marketing guys' pen ......... I saw what a few of the chaps had on their computer screen ...... they were playing WOW ......

  they work far less hours than me, have a much less demanding job, get to meet people every day and jet around and wine and dine on company expenses, and they have enough time on their hands to play computer games at work !!!!!!! ..........................

  it's much better to be a marketing guy as a working hack ....

  to me, i believe true marketing geniuses are borne out of creativity, and you cant teach that..

  apple has pretty good marketing personnels working for them..
