i give up my seat (whenever i have the chance to even get one) all the time. then again most of my journeys are pretty short and i would rather stand.

In the end, you still need seats for the elderly, the pregnant, the handicapped, and those carrying babies.
Should the train driver suddenly e-brake, I don't want a fella losing his grip and dropping his little kid, and I do not want a pregnant woman to fall and land on her belly . Like it or not, we need seats for them, even if it means that there are retarded monkeys out there who don't want to give them up when needed.
One thing's for sure..... there will never be a day when such accidents happen just because the Fudgester was too selfish to offer his seat.
hanor hanor... we still need seats lah... not all can tahan the long journey all squashed up leh....
maybe i should put up a sign, if you need my seat, please wake me up... hahahahahaaa
we definitely need the seats.
anyway I think there's need to educate those people in need to ask too. And it's asking, not demanding.
whew...just reached office..
went to nikon service centre and send in all my cammy and lens for cleaning..
the morning train was SCARY... working ladies literally wrapped themselves/leaned the entire back onto every pole. I tried to balance with my heavy bag...until i fed up, hold onto the top pole and purposedly elbowed the lady ALMOST onto her face.. where she finally got the hint, take her body off the pole so the rest can finally grap the pole.!
what is wrong with these people!!
Ah yes, another bunch that pisses the hell out of me - people who lean on a pole or even two on the train. Besides middle-aged men and women with the self-righteous look on their faces, I find the Raffles Place crowd to be the most thick-skinned of the lot. They don't give way to passengers from the Marina Bay station even when prompted to do so (by the PA system and by me).
i go "leng tang wu kwee ah?" or "middle got ghost izzit?" in teochew... to the people who crowd the entrance but refuse to move into the empty middle part of the train
i dun give a damn anymore..
if i see these pple, i am going to swing my backpack against their faces and it is PAINFUL!...
if they make ANY noise, i just give them a real big smile right in their face....!
They normally shut up cos it will be embrassing for them to find fault..
on the bus, whereas seats facing each other.. on the higher seat, the lower seat would put their feet, bear no consideration for the other person who is gonna sit there. they knew it and refuse to move their feet thinking no one would dare to take those seats, then they have 2 seats for themselves.
I would just walk up, STEP ON THEIR FEET (ON TOP OF THE FEET) AND sit down, if they dun retract their feet, that's be it, MY SHOES ON THEIR FEET. they normally give a big stare at me, and as usual, i give them a BIG SMILE. !
the previous day, an old lady hogging another 2 seats while she seated in one... she tell the commuter, "they are my seats"..refused to give others to sit next to her. I told her off " you dun pay 2 person seat", her daughter-in-law quickly apologised to us...!
doesnt mean senior citizen to be BAR-DAO. the bus was so crowded. me and colleague sat opposite and give her the BIG SMILE. she was pissed and got off the bus.

It is the same on the trams over here too. What is worse is that when the driver sees all the people stand near the door, he simply assumes the tram is full so he doesn't even bother to stop for passengers.
oki..back to work :) it's a long day..and i looked forward to my forthcoming months' holidays!!

should do the jappy style - have someone push/cram people in the trains.

Ok for trains but don't think it will work for trams. The tram drivers can choose not to stop if there are no passengers wanting to get off....
the cause is actually overpopulation...
sadly, that's the elephant in the room the politicians refuse to address

3 nite ago, my house downstairs at 3.30am... i was sound asleep when i heard commotion.. sounds like hands banging on cars and lady screaming (scolding tone)...ignore cos it's sounds like PRC arguing......then suddenly i heard a loud tone "WOO LI JIN"...
hah! that got me curious... go to kitchen window..
saw a 2 fella trying to lift a drunken young slim lady up, a fat auntie scolding the slim one...and trying to attack her.. a guy (maybe husband) tried to stop the fat one.... so they displayed the "mother hen and eagles" techniques ...
then came the police car.... the fat said :police.. the 2 suppose to hold onto the slim lady ran off..
the fat one become so kind, lift the slim one and pretend to bring her home...
*i rolled my eyes*
maybe later she kana bashed up by the fat one, after the police left.. but then..who cares..
