I turned her down first time, cos I had a commitment with the holland v gang ....
I got asked immediately the day after .... for dinner ....... client apointment ... rainchecked that ....
the next time was just yesterday ..... something went *blink then .....
I don't get it .... I smoke, have man boobs and hairloss .... but she's ......

if i really really want to meet someone, i'll ask again and again too. doesn't mean i have to be 'romatically interested' in that person.

errmmm...so you actually do like her? as in there isn't anything about her that's a deal breaker for you?it won't kill you to go out with her once and see how it goes from there I guess.

I'm glad to say I've managed to "protect" every single one of them, not that there were many ....
save one .... she was a severely disabled, wheel chair bound paraplagic inmate at the red cross home for the disabled when I was in my teens .....
though I know she "crushes" just about every young male volunteer there, it really bites at your soul cos you know that her feelings for her "crushes" can never ever be requitted ... it's like an ironic and cruel twist of fate that heaven gave her a wrecked, twisted body but left her human urges intact .....
I still think of the inmates there sometimes ... I used to play chess with one, and I have never defeated him .... but it takes too much out of me to go there, though it's so near my house, over at hill view ....

Let's just say this....
A few years ago, a girl confessed that she liked me. And she was one stone-cold stunner of a minah.... how could she fall for a dork like me?
The thing is, I had to (politely) turn her down, because:
1. I wasn't interested in her, at least not more than a friend.
2. She had just broken off a difficult and abusive relationship with a serial cheater and perpetual DB inmate (for going AWOL repeatedly). I certainly doubted her ability to have another relationship so soon (within days of the breakup!)
She took it well at first, and accepted my point that we could remain as friends. Then she abruptly cut off all contact from me.
Did I hurt her heart? Probably. But if I had pursued the relationship, dollars to donuts say that the repercussions would have been much worse.

going to give angela's ashes a shot. had wanted to watch it when it came out in the theatres, but never had a chance to. not the kind i'd want to watch to keep awake, but....
