i wanted to go poly when i got my o level results..but parents want me to get into Jc...haiz...was too timid and follow parents wishes..
the 2 years were agonizing, except for some happy activities..
i had to take up Maths C, when i never even studied A Maths in Sec School.
I remember i said "wtF is co-tangent" !!

I remembered my sis studied in poly, got tangent la for Mathseven my darling said if given a choice would have gone to poly. I think kids these days are just too lucky, even good results they've e choice they want

with more media and the parents being more liberal, the kids can choose what they want for further studies.my time, do what parents wishes...haiz...i was born too early..!

Well good luck with your 2-week vegan fast! Who knows you might never revert back to your old diet. I didn't this time round!

i share your darling sentiments...when i pass by any poly and see the students happily chatting or reading their study books...i wish i could turn back time and have the chance to go poly!

hahaha...maybe it's good for me too..
i am travelling with 2 muslim friends..so pork is out for sure. and it is gonna be trekking (they hinted to me 8 days outdoor camping style)..jialat hah!!

I think another thing is cos as long as you work hard in poly, can still go on to local uniback then it was a dream thought

everytime I take bus pass by esp NP, it's always students w/ laptops

my parents pretty old fashion type...go poly is the end of the road to study.. anyway, i finished jc and straight to work, being the sole bread winner liao... no diff leh..in fact it is worse...if i had THE CHANCE TO GO to the poly.......SOB

goodness, meaning must get straight A1 to get into tat poly course
because lots of smart kids and parents have realised that with the system nowadays, going poly might actually be a better choice if you can afford it

back then I still remembered tat saying latat's why I really envy e kids these days.. at least finally there is some fairness

precisely.
if you go local uni you don't lose out either. but last time the problem was entry to local uni is very hard. and it's not exactly cheap to go overseas.
but nowadays go local uni from poly not hard le. + going overseas also not so out of reach of pple

e Pound and Aussie dollar value has dropped a lot siahaiz, if this fairness was around 10 yrs ago

i remember i paid dearly for my diploma o/s exan papers in Pound and it is$3.1 to 1 pound
now it is only $2.2 to 1 pound
