i wanted to go poly when i got my o level results..but parents want me to get into Jc...haiz...was too timid and follow parents wishes..
the 2 years were agonizing, except for some happy activities..
i had to take up Maths C, when i never even studied A Maths in Sec School.
I remember i said "wtF is co-tangent" !!

I remembered my sis studied in poly, got tangent la for Maths
even my darling said if given a choice would have gone to poly. I think kids these days are just too lucky, even good results they've e choice they want

with more media and the parents being more liberal, the kids can choose what they want for further studies.

i share your darling sentiments...when i pass by any poly and see the students happily chatting or reading their study books...i wish i could turn back time and have the chance to go poly!

I think another thing is cos as long as you work hard in poly, can still go on to local uni

everytime I take bus pass by esp NP, it's always students w/ laptops

goodness, meaning must get straight A1 to get into tat poly course
because lots of smart kids and parents have realised that with the system nowadays, going poly might actually be a better choice if you can afford it

back then I still remembered tat saying la
tat's why I really envy e kids these days.. at least finally there is some fairness

if you go local uni you don't lose out either. but last time the problem was entry to local uni is very hard. and it's not exactly cheap to go overseas.
but nowadays go local uni from poly not hard le. + going overseas also not so out of reach of pple
