ya, i've got a liking for ambulances, was an ex- ambulance medic for my NS ..
currently into diploma in environmental, health & safety..

The current acute shortage of nurses in this country would probably work to your advantage in terms of salary, should you decide to make good on that intention.
Something else I just found out too: there's an almost equally serious shortage of dermatologists here. Tried getting my HMO to make an appointment for me to see one, and the next available opening they had was--get this--six months out!

I used to go fishing with a friend in Malaysia. I just sat there and stoned out. We had cold beer under the hot sun and got more stoned out.
I miss heading out to sea.

I like to go fishing at night ......
it's cooler, and the big ones come out at night ....

There is a nursing shortage worldwide, and the US is paying something like $30 / hr at least for RN's and the rates differ according to the State.
The trouble is, there is a huuuuuuge backlog of Green Cards that have not been issued to nurses who have fulfilled the criteria and have obtaind the NCLEX licences to practice. I contacted the US Nursing Agency I registered with when I was back in SG and they are no longer accepting new applicants worldwide because there are RN's who have waited FIVE years for their Green Cards and still haven't heard anything.
Immigration is screwed up internationally.
It's like you have an orchard full of fruits waiting to be picked and meanwhile, starting to rot, but the fruit gatherers are all barricaded out of the orchard, looking longingly at the fruits... -
