I sometimes go to the pub with my colleagues/friends and you can see how much money can disappear in half an hour...... I'd rather spend the money on food.

that's why beer's good ......
when you sit around and talk, there's this tendency to reach out and sip regularly ... other stuff disappears pretty fast by sips .... a pint of beer lasts longer .....
