  That's toaster oven... a smaller version of a conventional oven.  Usually you can use that toaster oven for roasting potatoes, grill cheese sandwich, cook some small piece of meat etc....

  Conventional oven cooks the food using infrared heat.  Microwave oven cooks the food using microwave.

  Food cooks faster in microwave oven than in conventional oven but tastes better in conventional oven.

  basically, oven grills/cooks the food via heat from the heated metals in the oven.

  microwave uses microwaves to heat the food by making the water in them vibrate. it also means if no water cannot heat up with microwave. + microwave cannot put in metals and such but oven can.

  I have both...

  I use microwave oven to defrost the meat/other food and to heat up my leftover dinner.... very convenient.

  I use conventional oven to do the actual cooking like grilling/roasting/baking....

  microwave oven = microwave? although I think got some that can do both microwave and conventional oven de.

  erm both used for diff things, generically, oven used to cook stuff while microwave is more used to reheat/ heat up stuff.
