I think stress is driving ppl nuts

I think life in Singapore has been getting coarser around the edges ..... the quality of life I think, is going down .....
we are no longer as refined, no longer as patient and courteous with each other as before (not that we were very much so before !) .....
there are a lot more frowns on the faces .... people now openly shove and push in the MRTs ... we are much more willing to complain and argue with each other, we seems to have lost more respect and courtesy towards each other .... and driving in Singapore .... I don't recall that many cars on the road before ... but I don't recall that high an "arsehole" quotient on the road either ...... that's why till now, i only drive at night, unless I absolutely have to .....
what has happened ? .... where have we gone ? ....

Try squeezing a lot of ppl in a tiny space with strangers (read: foreign talents) who compete with them

it's all compeition tat came from kiasuism
The only thing I force my thru e bus or MRT is when ppl refuse to move in...

yeah, same goes for me as well..

But attitudes do not seemed to have changed much. People have always shoved and pushed their way through.
What seems to have changed is the number of people squeezing into the same space. It wasn't THAT crowded then if you asked me.

there's this thread in SC asking why fewer people are hanging flags nowadays .....
you know what I think ? ....
it's cos there are fewer Singaporeans around ! ...

I noticed many of those points too on my recent trip to Singapore. When riding the buses and trains, I was frankly shocked at the number of dour, unfriendly and unsmiling faces all around me. Simple acts of courtesy, like holding a door open, giving way to others and relinquishing one's seat to elderly passengers, were few and far inbetween; pushing, shoving and seat-hogging were more the norm.
And don't get me started on Singapore drivers...

actually for this I blame the government/ ruling party. If they didn't have so many restrictions and troublesome rules on flag hanging, we would definitely have more.I know I would have hung one out when my parents asked me to a few years ago instead of tell them it's too troublesome + it would still be hanging out there now.

I was personally involved with the lobsters .... I was shoved out of the way from behind when the waitress there started ringing the silly bell and i happened to be right in front of her ....
but i saw two men nearly coming to blows over crab legs ....

Your metabolic rate is reduced right now. Chances are you'll end up storing most of the fat from that chicken.
You should at least tear the skin off the chicken and not eat it.

I know ...... patches' licking her chops right now ......
I'm trying to make patches fat .....
but she's still so thin ...... hopefully, the chicken skin would help ....

Hmm.... I've never had Popeye's Chicken before.
That said, I always tear off the skin and not eat it when I eat at KFC.
The amount of subcutaneous fat that comes off with the skin is astounding.

popeye chicken is not as good as KFC .....
the chicken pieces are also smaller ...
