A Swedish sub (the Gotland class, methinks) managed to get within torpedo firing range of a US aircraft carrier - undetected. They even took a photo of the carrier through the periscope.
The Yanks were so badly shaken that they decided to lease the Swedish sub for a year to figure out countermeasures against the sub.
So, aye.... the Vastergotlands that we're getting are a pretty good deal. -
