In Singapore, you either meet with folks looking away suddenly or manage a weak smile.
Not just in Singapore... i guess generally in Asia... when I was travelling in other countries for work, the drivers usually get surprised when I start chatting with them and asking how's their day.... because generally they don't expect Asians to be very open and start a conversation....
