  Some of them may know somewhat. I think it was last year...when approached, I mentioned to them about the floats and that part of the money go towards the floats, right? The student sort of went "hmmm....uhhh.... " and managed a forced smile. I used to be in their shoes too, but I didn't know then, until after the event. Stayed up overnight to help build the darn float too...dunno for what.

  I think a portion of the students' collection do go to charities, just not 100%.
  
  That endowment fund has nothing to do with the student activities...that one goes to the administration.
