I had half a mind to call back to extend my leave, but then I thought about boarding a plane with irritating, talkative kids on school holidays, and I thought, nuh-uh!Originally posted by av98m:Last Sat missy was on the vacation from hell, this saturday we are eating at kushin bo. So only next saturday is left. It'd have to be that day unless she is extending her stay?
and I won't post this one up. It'll be by invitation only

I think all in all, I shouted like four times before he FINALLY shut up.
This is hilarious....if I were there , I'd probably laugh at the hilarity of it.Originally posted by Rhonda:Repeated himself again, so I shouted "SHUT UP!" again.

i can't wait to see what happens on fridayOriginally posted by the Bear:dude.. one asswipe who has run away from our organisation to another (good riddance to bad rubbish) because the No.1 knows what he is like, showed up in all meetings, presented everything, made a lot of useless intranet things, but never did any work at all!
no one knew what he did.. and i mean NO ONE!! not even his boss! he was given a bloody title "special projects" and there was none.. because all he did was walk around and annoy people... we referred to him as Grimar Wormtongue because he resembled that character...
he was promoted so fast we were shocked..
i kinda pity the organisation he ran to..

I accompanied mom to OG at People's Park to buy a luggage for her upcoming trip. We booked a taxi and waited a short distance away from the taxi queue to wait for the cab to turn up. The cab turned up, parked himself in front of the queue, and though we kept waving at him, he simply refused to move forward. A nice guy saw my mom and I frantically motioning to the taxi driver so he helped to try to attract the driver's attention but the driver was darn super-sotong.Originally posted by elindra:What happened?

Comfort cab?Originally posted by Rhonda:...
So, we boarded the cab, mom requested the driver to drive to Holland V via Zion Road and Grange Rd. Taxi driver seemed to be in some bad mood, launced some very very loud tirade about insisting on travelling via the much longer route of Alexandra down to Queenstown! Mom and I tried to tell him that we'll show him the way if he'll turn into Zion Rd, but he just shouted on and on and on AND ON about going HIS WAY!!

This typr of thing, I will ask for a receipt(becaue it will have the time, taxi number etc) and also make a note of the driver's name. Then complain like hell! Somemore pay the booking fee leh!Originally posted by Rhonda:I accompanied mom to OG at People's Park to buy a luggage for her upcoming trip. Finally, it was funny but mom had to call the cab company to tell them to call the driver to tell him to move forward. (There were barricades that's why we couldn't walk back, esp not with the luggage.)

He zoomed past the intersection where he was supposed to turn, and he was STILL lecturing us!
From People's Park, all the way to Delta House in Alexandra Rd, his darn mouth wouldn't stop complaining and complaining, very loud-mouthed like them Hokkien ah peks. I finally lost it and told him in Mandarin that "It's Enough!! STOP IT!"
And you think he'd stop! He repeated the SAME OLD TIRADE all over again. I ended up telling him to stop, just shut up! No need to repeat same old thing again and again and anyway, it's all over! Mom also tried to ask him to stop. He just went on and on! So I lost it and shouted at him to "SHUT UP!!"
Come to think of it, I really should lodge an official complaint. The ride ended up being much dearer for us, we had to climb up a flight of steps with the luggage cause of the route, and it was a terribly unpleasant ride.
no no no this type of thing MUST cvomplain and get him suspended at the very least. This kind of sociopathic driver is the type that runs over people on the road on purpose ok. I'm not kidding.Originally posted by Rhonda:I only remembered the plate no. , can't remember the taxi company.
Asked mom if she wanted to lodge a complaint but mom said forget it, that man's a ruffian anyways, and a ruffian is as a ruffian does.
Actually, I got angry because he started to scold my mom for asking him to take that shorter route and was so rude saying things like, "How can you choose that way? Har? Can only go by this way!" in Mandarin. I wasn't going to sit there and let him scold my mom over and over AND OVER again just because he insisted on taking a much longer route!
and the best part we have a good reason that they can't complain about.Originally posted by the Bear:"all sick on the same day??"
"yah.. we're all sick of work"
Put it down to a suay experience then. The cab driver probably thinks he knows better. Most cab drivers I've come across would normally take whichever route the passenger dictates...they know better than to argue over it...even if it is indeed a longer route (by mistake).Originally posted by Rhonda:I only remembered the plate no. , can't remember the taxi company.

did that happen? how come I dun remember?Originally posted by Rhonda:I had half a mind to call back to extend my leave, but then I thought about boarding a plane with irritating, talkative kids on school holidays, and I thought, nuh-uh!
Yeah... only next Saturday left.
And I think it's best to keep the group small and cozy. I was horrified to hear that the last time you opened up your house for a pot luck, strangers just turned up without even having the courtesy to ask you for permission first!! I mean, that's really really reeeely rude!!! How can you just invite yourself to someone's house?! And you're a total stranger at that!
Really shameful and sorry lack of etiquette!
His was definitely a much longer route.Originally posted by Wanda:Put it down to a suay experience then. The cab driver probably thinks he knows better.
