I mean, that's really really reeeely rude!!! How can you just invite yourself to someone's house?! And you're a total stranger at that!
Really shameful and sorry lack of etiquette!

no one knew what he did.. and i mean NO ONE!! not even his boss! he was given a bloody title "special projects" and there was none.. because all he did was walk around and annoy people... we referred to him as Grimar Wormtongue because he resembled that character...
he was promoted so fast we were shocked..

I accompanied mom to OG at People's Park to buy a luggage for her upcoming trip. We booked a taxi and waited a short distance away from the taxi queue to wait for the cab to turn up. The cab turned up, parked himself in front of the queue, and though we kept waving at him, he simply refused to move forward. A nice guy saw my mom and I frantically motioning to the taxi driver so he helped to try to attract the driver's attention but the driver was darn super-sotong.Originally posted by elindra:What happened?

So, we boarded the cab, mom requested the driver to drive to Holland V via Zion Road and Grange Rd. Taxi driver seemed to be in some bad mood, launced some very very loud tirade about insisting on travelling via the much longer route of Alexandra down to Queenstown! Mom and I tried to tell him that we'll show him the way if he'll turn into Zion Rd, but he just shouted on and on and on AND ON about going HIS WAY!!
He zoomed past the intersection where he was supposed to turn, and he was STILL lecturing us!
From People's Park, all the way to Delta House in Alexandra Rd, his darn mouth wouldn't stop complaining and complaining, very loud-mouthed like them Hokkien ah peks. I finally lost it and told him in Mandarin that "It's Enough!! STOP IT!"
And you think he'd stop! He repeated the SAME OLD TIRADE all over again. I ended up telling him to stop, just shut up! No need to repeat same old thing again and again and anyway, it's all over! Mom also tried to ask him to stop. He just went on and on! So I lost it and shouted at him to "SHUT UP!!"
Come to think of it, I really should lodge an official complaint. The ride ended up being much dearer for us, we had to climb up a flight of steps with the luggage cause of the route, and it was a terribly unpleasant ride. -

It's atrocious what's happening in my workplace too! Fresh grads with barely a year's experience under them, but who rub shoulders well and talk well with the Team Leaders, get assigned to precept student nurses! What the... !!! They are greenhorns themselves!!
Oh well, not my problem. I work for my pay, and I have stuff outside work to keep me busy, close one eye, happy liao! -

This typr of thing, I will ask for a receipt(becaue it will have the time, taxi number etc) and also make a note of the driver's name. Then complain like hell! chey, i thought is sth like that case reported in the newspaper b4 about this taxi driver saying this female passenger looks like a prc pros, and asked her for her price.
