  I know of a number of diploma holders who earn under $2k. And they work full-time.
  
  The way I see it, earning an extra $500 per month in return for increased travelling distance is a very good trade-off. Shucks man, I would willingly take on an internship that pays $500 per month even if the company's all the way in Tuas (I live in Marine Parade).

  Sister came to me with this information.
  
  Our PM in paliarment announces for all to hear that he is donating his pay rise to Charity.
  
  I was later chopping onions when I remembered that info and was discussing with my sister.
  
  Then.....my tears starts flowing.... I was so 'touched' by our PM's gesture.
  
  He donate his pay rise, and has inheritance of dunno how many millions, plus his mandate in high profile job, for her to 'feed' him....
  
  Such a great leader.

  Good morning people. Not sure if you remember I briefly mentioned a few weeks ago that my Project manager resigned and his role is now taken over by another person whom many people don't like.
  
  Oh well, eversince that happened, we had 3 resignations. Not good, not good. Should I go too or should I stay??

  I am still looking for a "greener" pastures. Problem is I do enjoy what I am doing in this company, the only thing I am not happy with the company is its management. Sigh..... I guess, everywhere you go, this problem arises. That's life.

  nah.. most of my friends are anything but civil
  
  seriously, sometimes people do change.. maybe the guy will become a nicer person... it's happened at my workplace.. guy comes in throwing his weight around because he used to be a regular army officer.. but slowly, he changed and is one of the nicest people around now

  Yes, I agree that people do change. I can only hope for the best if I decide to stay around. BTW, my new PM is a She. Problem is, she can be a control freak and wants only her way. It would take time for me to adjust to her way of managing things.
  
  Also, I got lots of encouragement and appreciations from my previous PM and I don't think I'd be getting it from her. Anyway, we shall see..... just sad to see those colleagues leave.
