Love the juxtaposition!
Yeah, working evening, so going to Richmond market before work, as usual. Not working on Sunday, so bringing Bear's sis to eat dimsum in Ringwood, where you brought us. Pai seh, I really love the dimsum there and have been craving for it!Originally posted by honeymouse:Hi Rhonda,

err...usually M will stand for manual, macro mode is usually denoted by a flower or something...........read your user's manual lahOriginally posted by Rhonda:'M' stands for 'Macro'?? Always thought it stood for "Manual"!
Yeah, I follow your advice re. avoiding harsh sunlight. Thanks!
Think I need to fiddle with my digicam more. I have trouble taking shots where the areas I wanna blur, don't end up blurred!!

As for the 'blur'.......errr I think you referring to bokeh? Not easy to do with compacts leh, because of their design. They have lots of depth of field, which is great for macros but not when you want only one subject in focus while blurring out the background. the more expensive DSLRs do the blurring better, but have problems with getting enough depth of field when you really need lots of it, so its how you want to balance the tradeoffs.
