personally i'm a fan of the epliator for legs, underarms, fingers and toes. the only draw back is you gotta let them grow before u can epilate. i also notice i get some ingrowns but that could just be my skin
after reading choco's post, i too wanna go for IPL. if the technology is still around after 8 years, i think the success stories outweigh the horror.
i got an offer package for IPL (area based, phew). It's 5K for upper lip, underarms and brazillian. Total number of sessions is 6. There is also a one year warranty, ie, if the hair is still there after 6 sessions, can go back for more sessions. hummmmm.. decisions decisions..... -

Is epilator one of those hair plucking contraption? Then I have a very old one, which I haven't used for years. If you can afford the money, I'd advise IPL.
Then make sure you take a few days leave because your skin is probably going to be damn red after that. -

I had an epilator! It's like Pocket-sized Hell. But then u girls who wax who can take those hair ripped out by the roots in chunks... its probably chickenfeet.
Mine was Philips.. I think it works well.. errr probably better with people with more hair or not so 'downy' hair cos without the 'grip' it can't PULL...
Now i shave or go RUSSIAN!!! HOHOHO I may join my colleague for threading facial hairssss (makes me sound like I have a beard) and will update when that is done! -

Oh and Don Don, you hardly get ingrown hair if you scrub your dead skin cells away often enough

but i get irritated with body scrubs. always end up standing in the bathroom for a long long time .
body scrub + hair wash, hair mask + face scrub, face mask + feet scrub = 90mins of standing in the bathroom -

I also know its PAINFUL to do brazilian wax. Imagine this: you get the big masking tape (black or white one), pull 1 whole length, tear it and stick it to you thigh. Wait ½ hour and tear it out. This is different from the Kao Biore pore pack. That is shiok, this waxing is just pure pain. -

Not like we voluntarily subject ourselves to pain & expense but certain expectations when it comes to hair management have evolved to become a social norm.
Anyway with regards to pain, it's not that bad because:
everyone's threshold for pain is different
one can grow used to pain
