yap! TX (other half) will help with washing up and cooking. i'm the one that chops stuff up and dump it into the pan.Originally posted by honeymouse:We had pasta for dinner last night too. Just a simple one - bolognase sauce (minced beef, brown onion and tomate paste) on pasta.
I agree with "Cost of warm hearty meal cooked with love : Priceless". How we usually do it every night is my hubby helps me with the preparation (chopping garlic, cleaning vegies) and I will do the cooking. Works out well.
I think if both of us work, it's nothing wrong to share the housework including the cooking too.
the chickens were nice and tame when they were younger but then later......Originally posted by elindra:

I had chickens before too but mine were really tame
I cried my eyes out when my mum cooked them
how big is your tankOriginally posted by elindra:Erhmm if you kept something as your pet, you will have the heart to eat it?
Seriously I dispose them as quickly as I can before SO got home coz they are his precious babies.
He was super heart-pain coz we had them when they were only about 4 inches in disc width and we got them up to 8 inches
We were even talking about upgrading the tank so that they can grow bigger and more space for them to swim.
Now I need to convince my SO why my turtle needs a bigger tank
Ok, I was wondering how come your puffer is so guai that it never chase themOriginally posted by the_don:my tetras commited sucide due to stress from puffer chasing them and biting their tail
we on one hand we regretted getting the puffer but on the other hand he was so cute, we loved him so much (we even bought blood worms for him, that really grossed up the tank)
the tank is now empty and sitting in a corner of the room.
ur turtle is named piggy?Originally posted by elindra:

humm stupid pet shop din have feeder snails... so we ended up with bloodworms.Originally posted by elindra:Ok, I was wondering how come your puffer is so guai that it never chase them
1 cube of blood worms is too much for 1 puffer
Keep a few puffers then or you can buy feeder snails for your puffer
They love to eat snails
Might be easier if you just kept tetras though
Predator fishes are more troublesome
Yup puffers are really cuteOriginally posted by the_don:humm stupid pet shop din have feeder snails... so we ended up with bloodworms.
TX and i will probably keep a few puffers for our next attempt. they are just so cute!!! they look like all the time but i guess that will have to wait till we get our own place. house shopping is irritating
3 feet = 36 inches = 86cm?Originally posted by elindra:It's a 3 feet tank
My turtle used to be 4" in shell size now I think he is 6 or 7 inches in shell size and his bioload is crazy
how did u find out he is alive?Originally posted by elindra:Yeah he is named piggy coz he eats and sleeps all the time
Once he was so lazy to move SO thought he died till he poked him with a net and he was even too lazy to move
u kidding that is expensive!!! that is 120 a month. u could feed & school a kid in cambodiaOriginally posted by elindra:Yup puffers are really cute
SO keeps wanting to keep stingrays again but I told him we can go broke feeding them
Unless he has the heart to starve them to train them to eat marine prawns, we will have to feed them live feeder fish and shrimps and they eat up at least $4 everyday
About 94cmOriginally posted by the_don:3 feet = 36 inches = 86cm?
humm that is a bit small for your turtle. but he will continue growing leh. wat if u had to change tank every year
SO put his hand in to grab him then he started strugglingOriginally posted by the_don:how did u find out he is alive?

They cost me at least $4 a day to feed them
Plus we buy really good water conditioners which we use up really quickly coz we have to siphon and change 20% of the water every week
Haha he swam to his corner and hid under the sand with his butt facing my SOOriginally posted by the_don:think your turtle is grumbling about being disturbed in his sleep
