  egg yolk in mooncake spoils the taste...
  
  this one.. is the traditional type.. they've made it the same way as far as i can remember.. which is about 30 years already.. and they've been making it for a heck of a lot longer than that!

  i prefer yolkless mooncakes that aren't too sweet.
  
  no idea about yours though. but since its lard loaded and unhealthy, i can pretty much rest assured its nice tasting
