Went to the lisboa Casino in Macau quite recently. The place is rather smoky and crowded with lots of hardcore gamblers, both rowdy and noisy. The truth is that i don't really feel quite comfortable initially as there was this group of people standing ard who obliously don't look like employees there. I was told by a local friend accompanying me, that they are operating as loan sharks belonging to some triads that control the casino there.
The moment after leaving that place, we went to a newer casino, Sands, juz opened by one of the vegas guys. The place was really grand from the moment you went in, there is this area on the 2nd level which is the size of 2 football field filled with gambling tables and a large stage at the front with female performers perfoming dances and songs. The people there are also not as rowdy as the one mentioned above. Whats more is that the minimun bet is also comparatively cheaper at $60 sg for a game of poker. And there is this really classy portugese rest. on the top leave that serves excellent dishes relatively cheap.
