I just watched Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

It was made like a black & white movie (not totally colourless though). The period was pre World War II era, but all the machines and weapons were very high tech. One thing amazing about this movie is: it was filmed in a studio with nothing on the background, except a blue screen. There were only the actors and actresses, and the rest were created by special effects.
Quite good. I give it 4 out of 5 stars -

i still like this movie i'm watching on 5 now... JAWS... LOVE this movie!

Though the CGI/special effects were like 'wow', I just felt that the storyline didnt bite. Cant connect to the viewer in the sense.
And the aircon, which seems to grow colder by the second, doesnt help the fact that the storyline was a little lightweight.
So I give....1.5 stars -

this had got to be the best film i've watched this year!
it's just so beautiful! every scene is like a beautiful painting. simply breathtaking.
loved the way the movie presented the architecture of NYC in the 30s, 40s. loved the rship interplay between Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow. loved the grand adventure style of the whole film.
