HONG Kong star Gigi Lai Chi has changed her name to Gigi Lai-Ka Yee in the hopes of being blessed with a baby with her businessman husband Patrick Ma, Nanyang Siang Pau reported.
The daily reported that Lai chose the name Ka-Yee as it sounded like "add a son" in Cantonese.
Following the instruction of her feng shui master, Lai asked her friends to call her by the new name as it was believed that she would get what she wished for soon.
The 38-year-old actress has been married to Ma for 11 months and has said that she was ready to have a child. Ma, in view of Lai's intention to have a baby, has forked out S$37 million to expand her beauty centre.
