Malaysian season of PCK to air in Singapore from Oct 13

  SINGAPORE: The yellow boots, gold chain and mole are back. Once again, viewers can look forward to catching local comedy Phua Chu Kang on television.

  But after eight seasons here, the Singaporean contractor has decided to move his business across the border.

  Together with his wife Rosie, they adapt to life in a new city in the first season of Phua Chu Kang Sendirian Berhad.

  They soon discover that it is harder than they imagined.

  Gurmit Singh and Irene Ang are joined by a new slate of Malaysian actors, who will play their friends and enemies.

  MediaCorp said that when the series aired in Malaysia in March, 300,000 viewers tuned in every week.

  Singaporeans can now catch the new series on MediaCorp’s Channel 5 at 8.30pm, starting next Tuesday.

  Yah, a lot of productions are moving across apparently to cut costs.

   

  Even the mandarin dramas, some of them are being filmed in Malaysia.

  Last time is the solid TCS... Can PK with TVB...

  Then when change name to mediacorp... To cut costs, Hire Ah tiongs to act... listen to accent = big turn off...

  Now what? Shift to Malaysia...
