He's currently in the ch 8 drama shown at 9pm weekdays. His acting and mandarin is so good, if he ever got a star awards for it, I'll be working in mediacorp too. -

Even Allan Wu knows his limits and sticks to English. -

Jet Li's Singapore citizenship confirmed
Posted: 29 July 2009 1246 hrsSINGAPORE : An executive from kung fu star Jet Li's One Foundation has confirmed that the actor has taken up Singapore citizenship.
"Jet Li has indeed migrated again," said Zhou Weiyan, President of One Foundation Project, adding that the move will not impact the operation of the foundation.
News of the Beijing-born star taking up a new nationality emerged in June this year and Li, 46, is also reported to have purchased a S$20 million luxury property at Bukit Timah Road.
The "Romeo Must Die" actor moved his wife, former actress Nina Li Chi, and their two daughters, Jane and Jade, to Singapore in 2007 for his children's education.
Li, who previously lived in Los Angeles, migrated to the United States 20 years ago.

Actually , i think he also wants to keep it low-key for fear of backlash from netcitizens in China, they was a bit of that for Gong Li.

The 46-year-old Chinese producer cum actor recently raised eyebrows when he was reported to have spent 20million dollars on a sprawling bungalow located in Binjai Rise, a prime residential area. Li reportedly emigrated to the United States 20 years ago to advance his career in the Hollywood movie industry. He was confirmed of his Singaporean citizenship a month ago and was said to have chose Singapore for its good education system.
Li's older 10-year-old daughter is currently schooling at the Singapore American School. He hopes for both his children to receive an all-rounded education. During the Forbes Global CEO Conference organised in Singapore last year, the Chinese actor appeared to be very supportive and pleased with the education system in Singapore.With a Singapore citizenship, the actor can now spend more time with his family members who have been residing in Singapore for the past two years. Apart from enjoying the country's good education system and the privileges conferred upon its citizens, plus with a Singapore passport, he can now travel from country to country without much hassle and documentation work.
The actor is currently taking a break from acting to concentrate with his charity work. He launched a charity organization called "One Foundation" in China last year in April. A joint-collaboration with the Red Cross Society of China, One Foundation hopes to raise funds and provide help to all victims of natural disasters.
