HONG KONG (Reuters) - Hong Kong action movie star Jackie Chan is looking to bequeath half his fortune to charity, following in the footsteps of Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, local media reported on Thursday.
"I have also written down (a will), ... half of it goes to my charity and the remaining goes to my wife and son," Chan told a media conference on a tiger conservation campaign, the Apple Daily newspaper reported.
A source close to Chan, who acted in Hollywood movies such as "Rush Hour" and "Shanghai Noon," told Reuters he had been working on his will for some time and was still reviewing it, adding his net worth was estimated at about HK$1 billion (US$128 million).
The donation to his Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation, which was founded in 1988 to help the needy and support performing arts, may be about HK$500 million, the source said.
