After New Orleans hospice worker Caroline (Kate Hudson) answers a help wanted ad, she finds herself working as the live-in caretaker of Ben Devereaux (John Hurt), a stroke victim who has lost his ability to speak. Ben's wife, Violet (Gena Rowlands), presents Caroline with a skeleton key to open any door in the house--with the exception of one, which she claims she has never been able to open. But curiosity gets the best of her, and Caroline opens the door to find a wealth of materials representing the old house's history of hoodoo, an ancient form of folk magic. She soon discovers that the house harbors a dark secret--one that Violet knows more about than she first admits.

Just saw it yesterday. Quite impressive, the characters will try to twist and turn the story line for you, but you need to put the pieces together to enjoy the movie before they tell you what it is (which is not only towards the very end).
I would recommend this to those who love horror/thriller genre with a bit of thinking to do. -
I saw the preview when I watched ONE MORE CHANCE... looks so scary leh! I got shock!!!!!!!!!
I am gonna watch it!

It's something like M. Night Shymalan's The Village, it makes you think that it is scary, plus the music effects really made it seemed so. But it's not really that, basically most of the scary parts are played by humans (not really ghost in there). I shouldn't spoil any storyline here, but it's not as scary as you may think it is. Come to think of it, it's quite more like a thriller rather than a horror. Anyhow also, it's fantastic, you have to think and think because the storyline twists here and there.
