Renée Zellweger
Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney have reportedly ended their four-month marriage with an annulment, but not everyone is surprised. In fact, a source tells Star, "Kenny and Renée's annulment has been in the works, behind the scenes, for weeks. It was just a matter of time."
Renée, 36, and Kenny, 37, first met at January's Concert of Hope tsunami fundrasier and were married on May 9 on the island of St. John — but as reported in the current issue of Star, they've barely spent any time together since. The last time the two were spotted in public was later in May, when they jogged a deux in Dallas and when Renée attended one of his concerts in Philadelphia.
Where have they been in the meantime? After Kenny finished his 5-month, 63-city tour he recouped at his home in St. John, without his wife. She, meanwhile, traveled between her homes in East Hampton, N.Y. and Pomfret, Conn., before heading to Italy and London to promote Cinderella Man — alone.
So what happened to the marriage? One source close to Kenny said, even before the annulment was announced, "I believe Kenny rushed into marrying Renée without thinking."
