They shoot their mouths off about each other in front of reporters, but smile and laugh in each otherÂ’s company. Kym Ng and Quan Yifeng, best partners on screen, have raised their bows and arrows and become rival Cupids.

“Look at the guys Yifeng found! Cheryl said she wants a clean-cut guy and Yifeng found a guy with a goatee. Then Cheryl wants a tall guy but her guys are short!” Kym Ng shuddered in mock resignation.
“Kym is a kettle calling the pot black; she’s so short herself! Plus look at the tourist ang moh (Caucasian) she got; obviously she can’t find anyone better and roped him in in desperation!” the caustic Quan Yifeng retorted.
What, have these two friends gotten into a fight over guys?
Actually, Kym and Yifeng have picked up bows and arrows for their new variety show Love Bites, where they play rival Cupids! Both are tasked with each finding 2 potential matches for every episodeÂ’s singleton, who then has to select one partner out of the four or walk away alone if none of the candidates are suitable.
Kym and Yifeng were at their wittiest best last Friday, where they were on the prowl for four men to feature in the first episode of Love Bites. The two popular hosts were certainly quite a sight to behold with their electric pink sleeveless Tees, white mini-skirts, white stiletto boots and those fluffy wings!
Like men-hungry Cupids, they scoured every corner of Parco Bugis Junction for the right guy to stand beside Cheryl Lye, a gorgeous and sweet little thing looking for a tall, mature and muscular man who has a stable career and hopefully, a driving license too.
Hours later, they were beaming with pride at their finds. Kym has a German male nurse, Flo and Kevin, a local part-time model; while Yifeng has Eric, a stylist cum salon manager and Jenson, an American-born Chinese DJ.
Just how good (or bad) are the guys? Who will Cheryl choose? Watch Love Bites starting Tuesday April 5 at 9.15pm on Channel U!
Yifeng and Kym will be down at Tampines Mall and Century Square this Sat March 12 from 1pm to look for four suitable females. On Mar 20, they will be at the pedestrian walk outside Wisma Atria from 1pm to look for four suitable males. Every week, the four shortlisted contestants will get $200 each while the final one chosen by the week's singleton will get $500!
