Liping hurled herself off a block of flats, Edmund pumped the hands of eager heartlanders and Brandon part-timed as a stuntman!

First, Liping and Brandon jumped down from the 11th floor of an HDB block, and subsequently, Edmund and Liping (again) threw themselves off the second-storey too!
Lordy, such heart-pumping action so alarmed an auntie living in the same block that she stopped her housework and peered out of her kitchen window, oblivious to the group of men below who hollered “Ooi auntie, close the window, leh!”. Finally, she looked down and saw a huge crane and the unmistakable MediaCorp vans, used to ferry camera equipment.
Yes, itÂ’s all drama, my dears, and specifically, the actionÂ’s for new drama Oh My Hero! (Yin Cha Yang Cuo). Liping, Brandon and Edmund were on location at Bedok Reservoir Road to film the two action scenes, and FYI, the first jump was done by stuntmen! You didnÂ’t think the big bosses would put the poor actors through such difficult stunts, did you!
Background info: BrandonÂ’s character Ah Bao is the baddie in the show who takes JizuÂ’s (Edmund) wife Lizhi (Liping) hostage, while on the run from him. Both Ah Bao and Lizhi fell to their deaths from a block of flats. Deeply remorseful, Jizu attempts to get his wife back. Will he be able to turn back the clock and save his wife? -

Perched precariously on the ledge of a second-storey wall parapet was Liping. Eyes fixated on the air mattress below her, her cherubic face was constantly scrunched up in a terrified frown. “I fear heights,” the veteran actress whispered with a tremor. “This is different from the time when I was lifted up to mid-air in my charity show stunt with Moses Lim. I tried to convince myself that this is like a ride in an adventure park, but my legs go weak just thinking about jumping down!”
But what goes up must come down, and gung-ho Liping sucked in a deep breath and took the plunge! Well-done!
Edmund Chen – full-time actor cum (possibly) future Minister?
Next to Liping, screen husband Edmund presented a more composed picture, though we believe he wore his peek-a-boo red undie for good luck! Earlier in the day, like a future Nominated Member of Parliament, Edmund went around pumping hands with all the excited uncles and aunties who had left their homes and come out to the open for a better view of this big scene. What a charmer! You have our votes, Edmund!
Brandon Wong – full-time actor cum one-time stunt assistant
Nevertheless, even EdmundÂ’s red undie couldnÂ’t fend off an accident that occurred during filming that day. With one man short on the ground, Brandon, the super boy scout that he is, trooped up to lend a hand! This versatile actor not only has a huge growl, but a huge heart too!
Oh My Hero! (Yin Cha Yang Cuo) will be shown on Channel 8 in May. Mark it in your calendar!

BTW, you guys might not believe it but we've seen someone who tried to commit suicide by jumping off the 8th floor of a block of flats survive her fall! She was in bad shape, of course, and in a lot of pain for a long long time but we were all shocked that she survived at all! -
