masch has been my fav player this season. he neutralized a lot of tricky situations in liverpool's half for most of this season. he and torres is liverpool's best buy this season.
this time round, however, he messed up.
gerrard also should have been more forceful in preventing masch from charging at the ref after torres's yellow. despite knowing masch has a yellow, he's a bit half hearted at it.
am also not following on the post-match report on soccernet or bbc yet. still painful to me....ouch

When i saw Liverpool lineup of Carra / Skrtel / Aurelio / Arbeloa , ahead of the less defensive defenders Finnan and Riise
And Alonso with Mascherano in the middle , i think their plot for draw is obvious .
Rafa always got this thinking , if cannot beat them , hold them !!

not stunned lah. expected a loss anyway although I was hoping for some sort of miracle and ended up not betting on Man U to win. $$$ fly away...
To lose it like this makes me sick...but then again, every loss to Man U so far makes me sick. Either by the devil's luck or we self-destruct.

Effectively , Gerrard in between the midfield and striker .
Pennant will be my wide man .
Kuyt will be good defensively , he will my co-winger and striker , dual role .
3 centrebacks allows me to play a last man , so that my defense will not have a hole when MU penetrate by movements . MU players are capable of pulling defenders out .
More or less , the ideas quite similiar to the match against Inter Milan .
I nevr expect Babel to start .... now we saw how ineffective with him around .
With their first 2 goals , i think many would agree with me , play 3 centrehalf inside the box would be more ideal .

Crouch can do more aerial damage ... anyway .

u may be right, but only rafa really knows, i guess....
my take it either finnan or riise will not be able to handle ronaldo on either side. needed someone younger to match his pace.
i just don't know why arbeloa was in the first 11. to me, he's the weakest link of the back 4.

But Rafa haven't changed his team for a few matches already leh... This team, with the same players got him 7 wins in a roll before today leh... No reason he should change it right...

torres was heavily guarded by ferdinand and vidic, should have sent crouch in to draw 1 defender away.
kuyt was there not to help torres but to help out in the midfield and ball chasing rather.
benitez talked bout having a chance to win the title, but he went into this match negatively.

n can any1 tell me y is kuyt still playing right MF? for me arbeloa is still not gd enuf, 1 gd game against barce is not enuf to displace finnan, but i guess finnan is injured cos he not even among subs. rafa should hav brought on crouch for kuyt n put 2 FWs when liverpool were having a gd spell. torres obviously not enuf support cos gerrard cant even get out of our own half! kuyt is getting more n more disappointing. right MF? he didnt do anything right last night. revert him back to centre attacking or sell him. period. feel sry for crouch. remind me of bellamy from season.

Marsh played well the whole of his game. He did made some key tackles to stop man u from scoring. I guess he is jus pissed at his 10 min yellow card. Ref did wrg there. He did pull back the tackle after he realised he wasnt going to get the ball. Put his studs down n all. Shld only warrant a warning not a yellow. LOL at torres getting a yellow for being tackled. Torres get tackled, talks abit den kena yellow. Ronaldo gets tackled, complain like anything get nothing. Good job ref. Yesterday jus wasnt liverpool's day. Missed alot of passes and play liked shit. This performance they dont deserve to play in UCL next season. Jus hope they pick up their game againt everton. Another 3-0 loss then gg liao.

well... another reason might be the long feud between argentine n the englishmen. i have seen the referee from both countries picking on each other countries.i felt benett being petty for tis match. there is no way torres getting a yellow card when he felt he was being tackle. he could have given masch a final warning but he chose a second card. this resulting anger to rise n cause the bad blood to rise between both countries.
if masch is an englishman n not foreigner, i dun think the referee will do anything.
