12.1.07 Watford vs LFC: Latest team news
Rafael Benitez will recall his big names for Saturday's Premiership clash at bottom club Watford.
The Anfield boss has Luis Garcia out for the season with a knee injury, Mark Gonzalez sidelined for three weeks with shin damage and Steven Warnock unlikely to be involved with damaged ribs. Mohamed Sissoko, Bolo Zenden and Harry Kewell are also out.
But Benitez, whose side have lost just one of their last 10 league games, will recall Jose Reina, Steve Finnan, Daniel Agger, John Arne Riise, Dirk Kuyt and Jermaine Pennant.
Watford captain Gavin Mahon returns for the clash.
Mahon missed last weekend's FA Cup third-round win over Stockport after picking up a knock during the Christmas and new year matches, but the midfielder has now shaken it off and is available for the Barclays Premiership clash.
The Hornets will also have forward Tamas Priskin back after suspension, and manager Adrian Boothroyd could give debuts to midfielder Lee Williamson and forward Will Hoskins, signed from Rotherham last week.
But defender Dan Shittu remains a doubt with an ankle injury, while forward Hameur Bouazza (shoulder) is still sidelined and defenders Clarke Carlisle (thigh) and James Chambers (gashed leg) and forward Marlon King (knee) are long-term casualties.
