What struck me in that horrigible disaster was when Warnock cleared the ball and it struck Aurelio in the face, dropping him like a sack. They had been playing badly but I still thought there was a way back in. But when I saw that funny spectacle, it summarized to me that that day was not ours. -

Liverpool boss Benitez demands better from Xabi

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is demanding more from his midfield ace Xabi Alonso.
Asked if he thought the Spaniard was now back to his best, Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv: "I don't think so. I think he is playing better but he can play much better.
"A lot better because he is a player with quality and we have seen that. He's not fully fit yet so he can improve."
Benitez also thanked skipper Steven Gerrard for hitting back at critics who have questioned why he is played on the wing.
"Yeah, I think it's good to hear important players and Steven, as the captain, telling people who maybe don't know how we train and our ideas. It's important to tell the people we are doing things for the team and what he said is good for the team and me as a manager. The only thing I can say to Steve is thank you." -

other than the 1st goal i hardly see him involved in the game..
it was until he shifted to the middle brieftly when we really pinned newcastle in their half..
hopefully we can see him in the middle soon..
but it was still a good performance though we had a BIG BIG escape when jenas missed an open goal..

it makes football so boring, because if everyone's gonna whine about it, i might as well buy AOS every week then laugh all the way to the bank because I'm gonna show the auntie the replay of how unlucky the team was not to have scored -

I feel Gerrard does best in the middle. pool was lucky cos spurs are doing badly right now due to fact they missed out carrick.
again wrong tactic is implemented by ben... just look at playing wif chelsea u will know tis tactic failed miserly. -
sometimes ....... what it needs is a break through for trying something new , it's something new Liverpool are on trial for a new rotational policy going on at Anfield .
I believe what is really lacking is the communication between news players , they are serious lacking in terms of understanding .
