Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy is undergoing a medical with Liverpool today ahead of his proposed £6million transfer to Anfield.
The Welsh hitman met Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez this afternoon.
Providing Rafa was impressed and providing the player passes a medical, a deal should be concluded very quickly. -

Ian Rush has given Liverpool's pursuit of Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy the thumbs up.
Rush told The Sun: "Being a former Liverpool striker and being Welsh, I'm absolutely made up by the news. I'm so glad for Craig and I just hope he continues the run he was on last season because this is a big, big year for Liverpool.
"They want to be competing for the Premiership and with Craig on board they are going to do that.
"They needed him for his pace and skill. He is the missing piece of the jigsaw and he could be the one they've been looking for since Michael Owen left.
"They've got Peter Crouch who can use his height, Robbie Fowler who is skilful - but the one thing they've been lacking is pace and that's what Craig can bring."
Bellamy, 26, is thinking over the move while on honeymoon, though Blackburn are desperate not to lose the player who scored 13 goals in 22 starts last season. -

Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy was at Liverpool's Melwood training HQ yesterday for talks with manager Rafa Benitez.
Benitez is assessing whether to proceed with a deal for the striker, but the indications are he'll be recruited.
The forward will also undergo a medical.
Bellamy cut short his holiday in Greece to return to England and complete his dream move.
Blackburn's last-ditch attempts to persuade Bellamy to stay and make him their highest ever paid player are set to fail as he homes in on a move to the club he supports.
Looks like the move is progressing well... -

Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy has agreed terms on a four-year contract with Liverpool.
The Guardian says Bellamy will today complete his £6m transfer from Blackburn Rovers to Liverpool after agreeing a four-year deal with the Merseyside club commanding wages of around £45,000 a week, considerably less than was on offer had he opted to prolong his stay at Ewood Park.
Rovers had proposed a similar four-year deal which would have increased his weekly pay packet to nearer £60,000 but the Wales international opted for Anfield.
The boyhood Liverpool fan undertook a medical yesterday, cutting short a holiday in Greece, and met Rafael BenÃtez to discuss the terms of the transfer. -
