Big risk in the appointment. Firstly, it's going against protocol..defying all the rules laid by the FA ...
Secondly, SouthGate has no experience at all...With Boro at such a crucial transitional stage ( having reached the UEFA Cup final), the appointment of an inexperienced manager could break the team.
